Narek Garukyan, DPM
Narek Garukyan, DPM, is an experienced, board-certified podiatrist serving adults and children in Reseda and Glendale, California. As the founder of LA Foot and Ankle Care, Dr. Garukyan provides compassionate care and detailed conservative and surgical treatments for a wide range of foot and ankle conditions.
Dr. Garukyan completed his bachelor’s degree at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) before attending the California School of Podiatric Medicine at Samuel Merritt University in Oakland for his doctorate in podiatric medicine, where he received the Phillip Gardner Award for Outstanding Podiatric Medical Student. He returned to Los Angeles to complete his residency at Veteran Affairs Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System and Olive View-UCLA Medical Center. During his final year of residency, he served as chief resident and excelled in both his podiatric work and leadership duties.
In addition to his medical work with patients, Dr. Garukyan developed the “Wound Tracker Professional,” an IOS application for measuring and tracking wounds. He has presented at national conferences, most recently focusing on the prevention of diabetic foot complications, and is published in numerous podiatry publications.
He is certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery in reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery, and foot surgery. He is also board qualified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine.
Alex Dinkchian, DPM
Born and raised in Glendale, CA, Dr. Alex Dinkchian has always had a love for medicine. He knew he wanted to practice medicine even as a child and make a difference in the community. He completed his medical education and training at the California School of Podiatric Medicine, after which he completed his residency training at Adventist Health White Memorial, where he performed over 1500 surgical procedures. During his residency, he also trained at affiliated hospitals such as Keck Medicine of USC, Kaiser Panorama City and Adventist Health Glendale.
Dr. Dinkchian’s practice focuses foot, ankle and lower leg wounds, including diabetic foot ulcers, trauma such as fractures of the foot and ankle, sport related injuries such as tendon and ligament injuries, foot deformity corrections including, flatfeet, high-arched feet and neuromuscular foot deformities, minimally invasive arthroscopic procedures, arthritis related to the foot and ankle and cosmetic procedures such as bunions and hammertoes.
Dr. Dinkchian is a firm believer in exploring non-surgical treatment options first, but when necessary he is skillful and trained in all surgical procedures regarding the foot and ankle. Dr. Dinkchian treats every patient like his own family member, working with them, putting their needs first and respecting their wishes. He strongly believes that he and his patients are a team with on goal in mind: to help the patient liver their best life.
